Bridal Shower Centerpiece Ideas

Bridal Shower Centerpiece IdeasCenterpieces are a delightful way to add whimsy and grandeur to any event. Typically made of flowers, bridal shower centerpieces can really set a tone for an event and pull a shower together!

A Single Centerpiece

Depending on the type of shower you are planning, you will need either one or multiple centerpieces. For a typical at-home shower, one centerpiece in the center of the dining table is usually perfect! Another flower arrangement on a smaller table or entry way will add a few extra pops of celebratory color. Place the centerpiece in the center of the table, and depending on how the room is arranged, either push it to one side (ie. If a buffet table is up against the wall to allow guests to walk around it) or leave it right in the middle of the table.

Get Creative!

Centerpieces don’t need to be made out of flowers! Why not have a beautiful centerpiece made entirely out of fruit? This is something you can either fashion yourself, or order from a company that specializes in gorgeous fruit displays. You might also have a collection of framed photos of the bride through the years surrounding the centerpiece.

If you plan to serve a delicious cake or cupcakes, often the bright colors and intricate detailing makes them stand-out centerpieces! But watch out – they might not last very long!

Ice sculptures or fountains (chocolate or champagne) also make stunning centerpieces.

Multiple Table Centerpieces

If you are planning a more formal, sit-down affair, you will need to plan the décor of the tables. In this case, the centerpieces will be at each table. Guests will need to be able to converse, so it is typically recommended that centerpieces either be quite low to the table or quite high above, allowing guests to communicate easily with one another.

Create your own centerpieces simply by ordering square mirrors, and then arranging a few candles and blooms on each one in the center of the table. The result is elegant, inexpensive, and easy to create.

Candy centerpieces are another fun idea! Make bouquets out of oversize suckers, confetti, and overflowing treats! The youngest guest at each table is allowed to bring it home.

Theme Centerpieces

Citrus themes are so hot right now, and you can really make this theme work for you, no matter what your budget! Simply cut a variety of lemons, limes, and oranges into pinwheels, which you can then use to line the inside of glass vases, then fill it with flowers. Or, pile platters high with oranges and a few white flowers here and there.

Do you have a color theme? The centerpieces will really bring it to life. Consider helium balloons – they’re inexpensive, color, and can float high above the table. Floating or submerged flowers are popular as well.

Other themes could include polka dots, princess-pink, or chocolate. No matter what the theme is, with a bit of creativity you can bring it to life with your bridal shower centerpieces!
