Bridal Shower Party Ideas

-- Bridal Shower Party Ideas --

A bridal shower is such a wonderful way of surrounding the future bride with the important women in her life, and celebrating the impending nuptials! If you’re looking for bridal shower party ideas to make your shower a success, start by thinking about the bride-to-be. What are her interests, likes, and hobbies? Try to incorporate some of these into her big day and it’s sure to be a sensation! There are so many ways to make a shower stand out, but the most important thing is to plan it with love!

Couples Shower

With men being more and more involved in the planning of the wedding, it is becoming increasingly commonplace for showers to close the gender gap and invite both men and women. In many cases, this turns the shower into more of a cocktail party. Consider inviting the boys to a bridal shower for a unique party that’s sure to be well received!

Spa Day

If you are planning a small group (or don’t mind organizing a large one!) consider heading to a spa for the day. Many spas offer full facilities and various packages. For a truly unique experience, look for a spa that has a wide variety of pools, Jacuzzis, saunas, and baths. Guests can usually pay a flat rate to enter and use the facilities, and only guests who choose to book treatments such as massages or pedicures need to spend the extra money, making it a surprisingly inclusive event! Open gifts and enjoy a cake after everyone has enjoyed and relaxed.

Intimately Yours

If the bride you love doesn’t love the idea of a shower, why not plan something low-key that she will enjoy? Invite her out for lunch with just a few close friends, to plan a shopping trip to a local city that you don’t get to visit that often. Doing something small will still mark the day, without forcing her to be the center of attention!

Get Active

A shower doesn’t need to involve drinking tea and chatting! Why not do something that bride will love, such as hitting the slopes, the waves, or the hiking trails? Plan a picnic, or sign up for something that you don’t normally do, such as a trail-ride, a boat trip, or even skydiving, for the more adventurous bride!

Go Traditional

Many brides love the traditional aspect of the bridal shower party – the flowers, the cake, the gifts, and the general girlishness! If your bride is traditional, she may well be looking forward to all of these things, so don’t feel like you have to shun convention to host a successful shower. Why not embrace it? Go all out with lavish centerpieces, feminine detailing (such as cupcakes and pink balloons), and lots of attention to detail.

Give it a Theme

A bridal shower really takes on personality when you give it a theme. “Around the clock” showers are fun – each guest is assigned a time of day and must give a gift that the bride would use at that time. For example, the guest assigned “8am” might give an alarm clock or a coffee machine. Other themes could include favorite movies, activities, or hobbies.

Planning a bridal shower is all about celebrating that someone close to you is about to become a Mrs.! Plan it will in advance and you’ll be sure to host a bridal shower party that she’ll remember fondly forever!
